Representative Jamaal Bowman, a new and rising member of the Squad, has been one of the main targets of these attacks. And yet, unlike in the past, Democratic leaders have not put in a strong effort to defend him from these attacks.
With AIPAC’s history of targeting those who criticize or challenge their views, it is no surprise that they have set their sights on Representative Bowman. A first-time candidate, Bowman has been an outspoken advocate for progressive policies and has challenged the status quo within the Democratic Party. This has earned him the attention and support of grassroots progressive movements, but it has also put a target on his back.

It is time for the Democratic leadership to make a stand and show their support for Representative Bowman. They need to break away from the status quo and defend their own members, even if it means going against powerful organizations like the AIPAC.
