Iran slams ‘brutal’ US aggression, warns of ‘dangerous consequences’
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

Iran’s Foreign Minister, Abbas Araghchi, has strongly condemned the recent military aggression carried out by the United States against its peaceful nuclear facilities. In a press conference held in Tehran, Minister Araghchi expressed Iran’s utter disapproval and outrage towards this act of aggression, describing it as ‘brutal and unjustified’.

The tension between the two nations has been escalating since the U.S. unilaterally withdrew from the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) – commonly known as the Iran nuclear deal – in 2018. The U.S. then imposed several economic sanctions on Iran, crippling the country’s economy and causing widespread suffering among its people. Despite Iran’s compliance with the JCPOA, the U.S. has continued its aggressive approach towards the country, leading to President Donald Trump ordering a military attack on Iran’s nuclear facilities.

Minister Araghchi’s words echoed the sentiments of the entire Iranian government and people. He called the U.S.’s actions a blatant violation of international law and a direct attack on the sovereignty of Iran. He further stated that this aggression was not only targeted towards Iran’s peaceful nuclear program but also towards the people of Iran and their right to a dignified and prosperous life.

The Iranian Foreign Minister emphasized that the U.S. has no right to dictate or interfere in the internal affairs of Iran. He reminded the world that Iran, as a sovereign nation, has every right to develop its nuclear program for peaceful purposes under the supervision of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). He also highlighted the extensive measures taken by Iran to ensure the safety and transparency of its nuclear facilities, in compliance with the JCPOA.

The U.S. has justified its aggression by claiming that Iran poses a threat to international peace and security. However, Minister Araghchi refuted these baseless claims and stated that Iran has always been a proponent of peace and stability in the region. He pointed out Iran’s role in fighting against terrorism and extremist groups, which has directly contributed to the safety and security of the entire world.

Iran has also accused the U.S. of trying to divert the attention of the international community from its own violations of international law and human rights. The U.S. has been criticized for its aggressive and unilateral actions in various regions of the world, causing chaos and suffering in the name of promoting democracy and freedom.

Minister Araghchi urged the international community to take a stand against the U.S.’s aggressive actions and hold them accountable for their violations of international law. He also called for the immediate cessation of these hostile policies towards Iran and the lifting of economic sanctions.

The international community has responded to Iran’s condemnation with support and solidarity. Many countries and organizations have called for restraint and a peaceful resolution to the escalating tensions between the U.S. and Iran. The United Nations Secretary-General, António Guterres, has also expressed his concern over the recent developments and called for all parties to exercise maximum restraint.

The Iranian government has expressed its willingness to engage in constructive dialogue with the U.S. and resolve any issues through peaceful means. However, Minister Araghchi reiterated that Iran will not back down in the face of any aggression and will do everything in its power to protect its people and its sovereignty.

In conclusion, Iran’s condemnation of the U.S.’s military aggression against its peaceful nuclear facilities is justified and receives widespread support from the international community. The Iranian government and people remain steadfast in their pursuit of peace and will not be intimidated by any hostile actions. It is high time for the U.S. to abandon its imperialistic and aggressive policies and engage in constructive dialogue with Iran to find a peaceful resolution to the current tensions. As responsible members of the international community, it is crucial for all nations to uphold the principles of international law and respect the sovereignty of every nation, including Iran.
