‘Israeli PM Netanyahu’s UN speech saturated with lies’

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s recent address at the United Nations General Assembly has sparked controversy and criticism from the Palestinian side. A senior Palestinian foreign ministry official has accused Netanyahu of delivering a speech that was “saturated with lies and falsifications” and has called it a “spin” on the reality of the situation in the region.

In his speech, Netanyahu highlighted the threats posed by Iran and its nuclear program, as well as the ongoing conflict between Israel and Palestine. He also reiterated his stance on the Israeli-Palestinian peace process, stating that Israel is ready to negotiate with the Palestinians without any preconditions.

However, the senior Palestinian official has dismissed Netanyahu’s statements as mere propaganda and has accused him of distorting the truth. He stated that Netanyahu’s speech was an attempt to divert attention from the real issues at hand and to portray Israel as the victim in the conflict.

The official also criticized Netanyahu for not acknowledging the suffering of the Palestinian people and for failing to address the root causes of the conflict. He stated that Netanyahu’s speech was a “blatant disregard” for the Palestinian people and their rights.

Furthermore, the official pointed out that Netanyahu’s claims about Iran’s nuclear program were baseless and aimed at creating fear and tension in the region. He stated that the international community has repeatedly confirmed that Iran’s nuclear program is peaceful and that there is no evidence to suggest otherwise.

The official also highlighted the fact that Netanyahu failed to mention the illegal Israeli settlements in the occupied Palestinian territories, which are a major obstacle to the peace process. He stated that these settlements are a violation of international law and a major hindrance to the establishment of a Palestinian state.

In response to Netanyahu’s call for negotiations without preconditions, the official stated that the Palestinian leadership has always been willing to engage in negotiations based on the internationally recognized parameters, including the two-state solution and the 1967 borders. He also emphasized that the Palestinian people will not accept anything less than their right to self-determination and an independent state.

The official also criticized Netanyahu for ignoring the recent developments in the region, including the normalization agreements between Israel and some Arab countries. He stated that these agreements do not represent the will of the Arab people and that they do not change the reality of the Palestinian cause.

In conclusion, the senior Palestinian foreign ministry official has strongly condemned Netanyahu’s U.N. address and has labeled it as a “collection of lies and falsifications.” He stated that Netanyahu’s speech was an attempt to deceive the international community and to cover up the injustices and violations committed by Israel against the Palestinian people.

The official also called on the international community to hold Israel accountable for its actions and to support the Palestinian people in their struggle for freedom and justice. He stated that the only way to achieve lasting peace in the region is through a just and comprehensive solution that addresses the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people.

It is clear that Netanyahu’s speech has only further deepened the divide between Israel and Palestine. It is time for both sides to engage in genuine and meaningful negotiations that will lead to a just and lasting peace for all. The international community must also play its role in facilitating these negotiations and ensuring that the rights of the Palestinian people are respected and protected. Only then can we hope for a brighter future for both Israel and Palestine.
