Actress Kiernan Shipka, best known for her role as Sabrina Spellman on Netflix’s hit show “Chilling Adventures of Sabrina,” recently sat down with ET to discuss her Halloween essentials while promoting her eerie Hatch campaign trailer, “Goodnight, Phone.”

As fans eagerly await the release of the highly-anticipated fourth and final season of “Chilling Adventures of Sabrina,” Shipka is keeping busy by teaming up with Hatch for their latest campaign. The short film, directed by horror mastermind Eli Roth, follows Shipka as a young woman who receives a mysterious phone call in the middle of the night, leading to a chilling encounter.

In the interview with ET, Shipka shared her excitement for the project, stating, “I’ve always been a fan of Halloween and horror, so being a part of this campaign was a no-brainer for me. And working with Eli Roth was an absolute dream.”

When it comes to Halloween, Shipka has a few must-haves to get into the spooky spirit. “I love a good costume, of course,” she revealed. “I also think it’s important to have some creepy decor, like pumpkins, skeletons, and maybe a fog machine. And of course, you can’t forget the candy!”

But for Shipka, Halloween is more than just costumes and candy. “It’s about embracing the supernatural and the unknown,” she explained. “That’s why ‘Goodnight, Phone’ was such a perfect fit for me.”

The short film, which was shot entirely on an iPhone, adds an extra layer of authenticity to the Halloween season. “It’s amazing what can be achieved with just a phone and a little bit of creativity,” Shipka said. “And I think that’s the beauty of Halloween – using your imagination to scare yourself and others.”

Shipka’s love for all things spooky extends beyond just Halloween. As a self-proclaimed horror fan, she is always on the lookout for new and thrilling projects. “I think there’s something exciting about being scared,” she admitted. “It’s like a rush of adrenaline that you can’t get from anything else.”

Despite her busy schedule, Shipka always makes time for Halloween. “It’s my favorite holiday,” she gushed. “I love dressing up and getting creative with my costumes. It’s also a great excuse to marathon all of my favorite horror movies!”

But it’s not just about the scares for Shipka. She also enjoys the sense of community that comes with Halloween. “There’s this sense of camaraderie during Halloween, where everyone is in it together,” she said. “It’s a time to let go and have fun with friends and family.”

As for what’s next for Shipka, fans can expect to see her return as Sabrina Spellman in the final season of “Chilling Adventures of Sabrina” on December 31st. “I’m so grateful to have been a part of this show and to have portrayed such a strong, independent character,” she shared. “I’m sad to see it end, but I think fans will be satisfied with how we wrap up Sabrina’s story.”

In the meantime, fans can catch Shipka in “Goodnight, Phone” and get into the Halloween spirit with her must-have essentials. “It’s a fun and spooky way to kick off the season,” she said. “And who knows, maybe it will inspire some fans to create their own horror films using just their phones!”

So, as Halloween approaches, take a cue from Kiernan Shipka and embrace the supernatural, get creative with your costumes, and have a spooktacular time with friends and family. And don’t forget to watch “Goodnight, Phone” for a bone-chilling start to the season.
